I had the pleasure of working with LH8, Takutai, Moana, Ngahere and Kūkūwai artists this past term. We learnt about kara (colour) through painting, collage and kupu Māori. We all enjoyed playing imaginative art games and Takutai learners created some fun OrmPS playground designs. Kūkūwai learners studied and discussed traditional Māori fishing methods and through this learning we connected to natural materials such as rock, harakeke and uku (clay). We all enjoyed participated in a school wide art installation to celebrate our OrmPS 10 year anniversary. This involved learning about beads from Aotearoa and around the world, and having fun while creating our own. We’ll have to be patient and wait until later in the year for the exciting unveiling of our anniversary artwork!

Ka pai ō koutou mahi OrmPS artists!
