I had a wonderful term with Para, Pātiki, Ngahere, Moana, Kūkūwai and Maunga learners in our Wāhi Toi at Tokatoka.
Our learning about Aotearoa before the year 1250 continued, with Para, Pātiki and Ngahere habitats creating printed, painted and drawn Ika o Aotearoa (NZ fish) artworks. Kūkūwai learners made stunning picture collage maps of Aotearoa, depicting flora and fauna from that time. It was a challenge to draw and cut out the map of Aotearoa, but the end results were fantastic!
Moana and Maunga enjoyed learning about artists from Aotearoa with connections to the Pacific Islands. We now have beautiful artworks in our kura, inspired by Robin White and John Pule!
Ka pai ō koutou mahi OrmPS artists!
