About the 2023 Science Roadshow

The Science Roadshow (www.roadshow.org) strongly supports the Nature of Science strand and the Five Foundational Science Capabilities and is an exciting and entertaining learning programme of two live shows and 55-60 hands-on exhibits that broaden students’ knowledge of the STEM subjects.

Each year our shows, themes and exhibits change. Our new programme for 2023 is an 70 minute session which includes:

Two Shows presented on the topics of:

Mighty Materials
– Physical and chemical properties of substances, such as metals and fabrics, and how these are put to use in everyday applications.

Sounding Out Waves
– The characteristics of sound such as pitch, volume, how fast it travels, what substances it travels through, how it travels and the many effects these have on things we can or cannot hear.

Interactive Exhibits grouped around the themes of:
Earth Science, Helping the Senses, Light, Movement, Observations and Inferences, Pressure

Plus a comprehensive Resource Book, full of stimulating classroom ready activities along with an integrated unit on Rocks, will be available to download. This will support your learning programme(s) as well as provide greater value and further contexts to your Science Roadshow experience.
